Will I have to configure anything?
No, our installation techs will set up the basic Internet connection.
How do I connect to the Internet?
When the PC is on, it is connected to the Internet. Simply click the icon for your web browser (Internet Explorer or Netscape, for example). No dial-up connection or other logon is necessary.
Is there a limit to how long I can be logged on?
There is no limit for use. Customers may be logged on 24 hours a day if they so choose.
What kind/speed of computer do I need?
Most computers that can connect to the Internet can receive wireless service. We will examine your system during the site survey.
How can I find out if I can receive your service?
Call our office at (641) 683-3100 and request a site survey, there is no cost for this service.
Can I have e-mail accounts?
We will set up e-mail accounts for up to 2 users for residential accounts at no additional charge. Commercial accounts may have 10 email accounts.
Do you accept credit cards?
Yes. Accounts are billed at the beginning of each month for that month's service. You may also make arrangements to be billed quarterly, semi-annually or annually. Major credit cards are accepted.
Who owns the equipment?
Affinity Wireless owns the equipment. We will also cover the cost of repair or replacement as long as damage is not due to customer negligence or misuse.
How does weather effect service?
Weather does not have much impact. Trees, however, if they block the line of sight between the tower and antenna, can cause interference.
Do I have to be able to see your towers to get service?
We prefer a clear line of sight to one of our towers, however the antenna's line of "sight" may mean that you will connect with a tower your eye may not see. A site survey will be conducted in order to confirm a good connection. |
