These instructions also work for Outlook Express 6.0
1. Open the Outlook Express 5.0 E-mail program. (To open the program, click on Start, Programs, Outlook Express. Alternatively, you can double-click on the Outlook Express icon on the Desktop.)
2. Click on the Tools pull-down menu, then click on Accounts. The Internet Accounts box will appear.
3. Click on the Mail tab. Now Click on Add then select Mail.
4. Now the Internet Connection Wizard Should Appear, Under Display Name enter whatever name you want to appear on the messages you send here, (It can be anything you want, usually your full name) then click Next.
5. On the next screen select I already have an e-mail address that I'd like to use and enter the e-mail address provided by Affinity Wireless, usually your name followed by "@awsllc.net", it should be what ever you requested. Then select Next.
6. For "Incoming mail (POP3)," type in mail.awsllc.net
This should be all in lowercase.
7. For "Outgoing mail (SMTP)," type in mail.awsllc.net
This should be all in lowercase.
After entering the settings click Next.
8. Under "Account name," type in your full Affinity Wireless email address.
9. Note regarding the "Password" field: If you enter your password and check the "remember password" box, you won't be prompted for your password every time you open up the program. On the other hand, by leaving this field blank you will prevent the possibility of others opening the program and accessing your mail.
REMEMBER - passwords are case sensitive.
Do not check the last box concerning Secure Password Authentication logon.
After entering the settings click Next.
10. Click on the Finish button.
11. Click on the Close button. This will close the Internet Accounts box.
12. You Internet E-Mail is now setup.
Once this account information is entered, to Send or Receive email do the following:
a. Open Outlook Express 5.0
b. Push the Send/Recv Button on the toolbar
c. Your mail will be downloaded to your machine.
